Well, Scientology corporate created it's own bad rap. Dianetics was based on the popular techniques of the day and it does work, after a limited fashion. But that was because it was copying other long-successful techniques. Practically, everything in Dianetics and Scientology was borrowed from other successful practices.Everything.

But in their arrogance, they never "borrowed" from Levenson - and that's why it's the only thing I've found which actually un-does the ill-effects of those cutative practices.

I call them cutative, as their "trade secrets" are only bit and pieces of those other practices. This is from my experience in studying them for some 20 years. And while this seems critical, you can see that while Levenson's technique can fix this - there is still more releasing to do on my part. The point is that there is hope for many - as those who have followed Crane or Dwoskin or others have found out.

I'll put that 7th way of releasing on my blog - it does provide more structure.

Some people in Brazil thought I was joining Scientology when I began attending Larry's retreats. I attend 2 or 3 retreats a year. And when you think about it, it is either a pretty stupid thing to say, or releasing is a really bad cult. It is not even 10% of the year! That's the filtering tendency of the mind along with the rush of being better than me because they are smart enough to see the scam while I am just a damn fool. People will see what they want to see.
I read Dianetics when I was 17 years old last century, and I think it might work. Maybe if Hubbard had stayed with it and used it like Lester, Hale and Larry use Releasing he could have made money without creating this weird construct so perfect for a South Park episode (season 9 episode 12). On the other hand, maybe they will come up with an episode for releasing too, and it will probably be funny.
I've always wanted to read a comparison between Releasing and Scientology because I can't say anything about it. I might have Dianetics information, but I don't know anything about Scientology (except for what I saw in the South Park episode :) ). So this could be a gain for me. I don't have an opinion about its content. When I read it I thought it was interesting and when you said that "Because Levenson’s Sedona Method actually helped me get over it." I could see you were not saying they are both the same thing. Then after reading Frank's texts I could also see what he meant. I have my filter because I know releasing, and other people can filter it as being "Releasing is a scam like Scientology".
If I can ask you, please post your text about Lester and the 7th way of releasing here. And if you can expand on how you use it, that would be great.

No apologies needed. We all have our baggage on this planet. I'm working to help people as best I can. If you consider that 4 years of Amway can still leave some stuff around, consider what 20+ years of full time (60-70 hour weeks) staff life would be like. And I've found the the best thing Scientology has produced is ex-Scientologists - tons more than are now or have ever been active. Those are the people I'm promoting to.

However, Levenson has been a real life saver for me and others - and so the work continues getting out the word about how people can use his stuff to improve their lives. I can see how it would be irritating to you - there is no real comparison there. (Any consolation - Hubbard compared himself to Buddha several times...)

Probably the sorriest things I've seen recently in searching forums for this blog post are people who really can't find anything good in anything. I don't mind people who don't have use for Sedona, or not much use. But those who trash things for no valid reason - well, that gives me something else to release on, doesn't it.

Isn't life just perfect?

Thanks for your honest feedback. It's really, really appreciated.

This post was written from the viewpoint of someone in or having left Scientology. Someone who has been using Sedona for years and never got into Scientology has missed a great deal of brainwashing and corporate pressure that is unreal, to say the least.

People who leave Scientology have this as a very real impact on their lives, something most people using Sedona would simply release and get over it. Which is finally what happened with me when I found Sedona.

The other reason I wrote this in this manner was to reach people who are searching my blog for data on scams - and they search for "Sedona Method Scam" as well as "Lester Levenson Scientology". So this post is to help them find content about what they are looking for.

I agree that the James Ray mess is tragic. The people who are looking for the Sedona Method won't be connecting James Ray with Hale Dwoskin or Larry Crane or even "The Secret". I see today that it's off the news again already. So unless something comes up, it will be just another sound-byte that streams through their HD_TV heads. Those people aren't even reaching for personal freedom. So they aren't worth worrying about (if one worries at all, in knowing and using Sedona).

And I apologize if I stepped on anyone's toes on this. The whole idea is to reach people who are in a very different place, those people who have left a very different world than Hale and Jack have ever lived in. The idea is to give these people hope that they can find something that they were looking for when they got scammed by Scientology.

I agree that these two subjects are miles apart. And I could go over a ton of marketing principles about how and why you approach people with a negative keyword like this. But it's a bit beyond what this forum is for. Believe me, it's the last of that type - I've got a lot of pure Levenson research to do, which is more upbeat and enlightening.
