Hey all!
I think this insight might bring some value to people who "do/move", or want to "do/move" a lot of things in their life.
In recent months I have turned my life upside down because of releasing and especially releasing on resistance. After listening a lot to Lester talking about "being not the doer" and freedom, I realized that releasing never really stops, and should not stop. Often I get myself into a state where I let go of any thought, meaning any - good, bad, whatever. And in this state I am able to get and have more things.
Right now I constantly lean over the edge whenever I am engaged in something, witnessing, watching. The state is incredibly calm and serene, despite the increased engagement in things, stuff, people. Making this state constant is my main goal right now. Always focusing on the word allow.
This talk by Burt Harding, talking about Ramana Maharshi, is on that subject:

On a practical level I would say that I got myself here by releasing mainly on resistance and listening to talks about freedom (GP Walsh and Chuck Goodwin, look them up), and of course talks with Lester. I think that this particular subject can be approached from two ways, practical and more theoretical. The first being releasing resistance. The other - allowing. Play with both and see what happens, and also see if you can articulate this in a better way to others than me.
The incredible willpower that we possess is indeed really amazing (for some also really scary), and something that I believe should not be taken for granted and supressed - rather expressed.
As always, be completely responsible for whatever you are experiencing. Hope that this post has inspired and provoked you into living with less effort (a suggestion for a New Year resolution? :). Effort and forcing has never helped me, just on the contrary, so how can it help you?
Ending with my favourite quote by Lester Levenson:
"Be successful in whatever it is you are doing. Digging a hole, throwing up some rocks, whatever it is. Be successful, in whatever it is you do".
Can it get any more simple?

What really got me to discriminate on this subject, is the fact that we don't let go of doing, or physical action - we let go of identification with doing, or the sense of effort. After that our body and mind can do much more and much better with less effort.
