Hi Lilar,

I´ll answer you in a PM for 2 reasons; 1) not to discourage anyone, and 2) most of the members who has been on this board from the start, plus the board (Kiss) where we "met", knows of my frustrations.

When I first started releasing ) Hale´s version) I was in a rather tough spot. For a brief while - a couple of months - it was fantastic, I was hooked. As I progressed it sort of stalled, and nothing really happened. After app. 6 months I became discouraged, went to London to a seminar with Hale, hoping to regain the magic of releasing. That didn´t happen, I was bored out of my scull, Hales way of teaching didn´t really agree with me.

Still, I kept going, releasing even more. I began to do more of Larry´s stuff, his style was more appealing to my way. Did the basic course, the G & R-course, several times, did 2 seminars with Larry.

At one time I almost became a monk, went all the way - "having everything by releasing only".

As time progressed, and I wasn´t very impressed with the gains, I´ve had way more gains from other tech´s. I think I can sum up the gains in this list: Healed herpes simplex a few times, healed a backpain, manifested app. 2000 $, in 5 years.

At the Kiss-board Steve Seretonin (the SS of the Kisstapo), someone who has been releasing for more than 25 years came off (to me) as a very not-released guy, scolding a lot of people in very inarticulate and downright unintelligent ways. I took a screenshot of some of his posts, and kept it for a while, just for laughs.

That was quite discouraging, though it was the birth of this board.

Last fall I decided to let the method go, but somehow couldn´t, released even more, and kept getiing more and more discouraged and frustrated.

At this point my life was worse than ever; I´ve lost my company, started a new one, lost that, lost my house, family, had to get on wellfare, just not a life I´d recommend to anyone.

At the MSN-board (now Multiply) and the Kiss-board, I know of a british guy, who released for 10 years, pretty much matching my experiences.

Plus, there are concepts within SMaRT that doesn´t quite agree with me, for instance I love my mind, it gives me great joy, and wouldn´t be without it. Also, I enjoy the belief: " Desire is possibilty seeking expression or function seeking performance" (Wallace Wattles). From that POV I wouldn´t want to release desires.

This spring I did it, quit releasing and after just a short while began to get my life back. I´ve been (mostly) progressively happier, more in tune with myself and have more money than in 5 years, ever since.

Now...I think that SMaRT is a nice system for some people, and not for others. I´m one of others in this respect, and just sorry I didn´t recognize it sooner.

I still point people toward SMaRT, if I deem it suitable for them. I´m happy for the people that has success with this method, good for them.
