Hello All

 

I have an issue I've been working on with releasing but I just haven't been able to shake it. Basically what happens is that I get sensations in my head (I used to refer to them as energies) sometimes that can come up from when I wake up to just appear in social situations. When they come up it feels like I'm blocked off from being myself. I've been working with Chuck for a bit and have found his help has really pushed up my releasing but I would also like some other opinions on this. It's getting to the point where I'm shying away from social situations because I don't feel like I can be part of it with this thing in my head weighing me down.

At the moment What I've been working on is letting go of "wanting to be controlled" by it. But I still feel like this isn't complete. Any help with this would be great.

As Hale Dwoskin is fond of saying: "Are you wanting to change it?"

What you resist will persist, so first of all just let the sensations in your head be as they are.

Welcome the sensations as best as you can. And then welcome the resistance to the sensations as best as you can. Keep doing these as a holistic pair, back and forth, back and forth, until you feel it dissolving.

The next thing to do would be a Triple Welcoming process.

Welcome any pictures, sounds, and sensations around the entire situation and all the work you've done on these feelings in your head.

Then, welcome any wanting to change the sensations, fix them, get rid of them and want to control them as best as you can.

And lastly, I would welcome any sense that these sensations in your head are personal, about you or who you really are.

Can you also see you feel like you are stuck and you're wanting to change the stuckness with this situation?

So, as best as you can, just let go of wanting to change the stuckness.
This alone will make a huge difference because you stop fighting with what is happening.
And like Byron Katie once said: "When I argue with reality, I lose—but only 100% of the time".

So, to recap:

1. Welcome the sensations as best as you can.
2. Do a holistic pair on welcoming the sensations and resisting the sensations 
3. Do a Triple Welcoming on the sensations in your head
4. Let go of wanting to change the stuckness

Dear Yamin....releasing is wonderful, a compliment to many things,  as is Chuck.....we know you have made great progress with him as you say :)

 

We would like to stress that nothing is intended to replace medical opinion however. We would highly recommend getting checked out in this way too just for good measure....

@Tom: Thanks, I'll give this a go. Could you please expand though on what you mean by any sense that it's personal?

It just feels like I've been releasing on it so long but when it comes up It still affects me.

 

@HOOTLESS CREW: I am aware of this, and have been activily seeking medical treatment apart from this.

I do feel like though any medical treatment they give me will just mask the sensations with drugs anyway...

Dear Yamin....that is a good move. It sounds as if, if they have offered you treatment that you might have had some sort of diagnosis....

 

By the way no doubt Tom will answer your question when he is around, but, the 'Could you welcome the sense that it is personal, or about you in any way?' is part of Hales Dwoskin's sequence of triple welcoming questions.  This question is quite a stretch for many of us at first, when something does indeed feel so very personal. It is about being open to the possibility that it is actually not even about us or who we really are....

 

So, even if what ever it is we are releasing on, does, feel very very personal and all about us, it is about opening up enough to allow for the infinite possibility that it actually is not even about us or has anything to do with us....

 

Do ask Chuck about this too Yamin as he often uses triple welcoming during sessions. I suspect you might have experienced this line of questioning with him already :)

 

Happy Releasing, have fun with it too. Triple welcoming is a wonderful set of tools to use/have...

 

 

Yesterday I was feeling amazing and felt like I had basically everything sorted though now things seem a little different. I will continue to do what Tom suggested and work on the sensation being impersonal. The basic diagnosis I was given was anxiety though this doesn't feel like anything like that. The best way I can describe what's happening now is that something is it feels like something is squashing my brain. And its just bringing down my whole mindset. Meh "This too shall pass"

 

Edit: I've also noticed that when I don't have it there. I want to bring it back so that I can "deal with it", as in make sure I'm ok with it if it happens to come again.

It's a good thing to run all the triple welcoming questions as they are used in the order that Tom kindly typed up for you. One leads to the other which facilitates greater release etc....

 

By the way sometimes when something that is apparantly physical calms down, we do indeed search for it again even if unconsciously. 

 

Heres another question sequence for you to try.

 

"Could you let go of wanting to bring it back again?"

(Then welcome all the pictures, sounds and sensations that arise)

"Could you as best you can welcome wanting to fix, change all of it, wanting even to understand it, wanting to 'deal with it'?"

(Again welcome anything else that arises)

"Could you now welcome the sense that it is all personal, or about you in any way? - as best as you can"

(Welcome anything here that seems to suggest to you that it is personal)

 

Could you rest as that presence that is beyond all welcoming, all resistance, all looking for that feeling when it doesn't seem to be there?

 

And just for good measure if you like. ( Can be repeated )

 

Ask yourself what else is possible for you as an infinite being? How does it get any better?

 

Then send everything including yourself some love and approval. If that is a stretch then an easy way is to use the ho'oponopono wording which is really nice and can be said to yourself, to the issue you are working on, even to the sensations, sounds and pictures - why not?

Some do use a set order for those, but it apparently is cool however you see them.

I was just reading a bit of Larry Crane's book "love yourself" and I'm going to give his saying yes method a go again, alongside all this for the day tomorrow, I don't have much love for what's going on now, and don't know how this is going to turn out, but I guess as always to "take it for checking"

Alright. So here's what I've found helpful so far:

Doing Hale's "I am enough" release with I am enough without my mind

Doing a holistic on what I previously thought the sensations caused me to do. eg being anti-social

Allowing myself to hate the sensations.

 

I attempted the triple welcoming but it just didn't seem to ring well with me

Letting go of wanting security (in the form of comfort) from my body

 

I do have a question though, If the goal is to be imperturbable then should I not be ok if the sensations are there or not? ie should i continue to bring up the sensations until I've got to a point where they do not affect me anymore?
