A few years ago, I started collecting the letting go questions in different languages from people I was working with in different countries.
Here's the list I started. Will you please add the 3 letting go questions in your language if we don't already have them, or any others that you're sure of?
Thanks a lot.
English:
Could you let it go?
Would you?
When?
Urdu:
Kiya ap isay chhor saktey ho?
Kiya ap chhor do gay?
Kab?
Slovene:
Ali lahko to opustiš?
Ali bi?
Kdaj?
Swahili:
Ungeweza kuwachilia?
Uta itikia kuwachilia?
Lini?
French:
Pourrais-tu lacher?
Le voudrais-tu?
Quand?
Portuguese:
Serias capaz de deixar isso ir?
Queres deixar isso ir?
Quando?
Bulgarian:
МОЖЕШ ЛИ ДА ГО ПУСНЕШ ДА СИ ОТИДЕ?
ЩЕ ГО НАПРАВИШ ЛИ?
КОГА?
Turkish:
Bu duyguyu serbest birakabilir misin?
Serbest birakir misin?
Ne zaman?
Chinese:
Ni nen gou fang kai da ma?
Ni yuan yi ma?
Se meh shi hou?
Permalink Reply by Per [Hootless crew] on September 11, 2011 at 2:38pm It's a bit tricky in Swedish, but this is one way of translating it:
1. Skulle du kunna släppa taget om det?
2. Skulle du det (om du kunde)?
3. När?

Danish:
Kan du give slip?
Vil du give slip?
Hvornår?
OK, who's going to get us German, Dutch, Norwegian, Finnish, Polish, Italian, Spanish? How about Gaelic, Romanish, Hungarian, Greek, Czech, Russian, Japanese?
german:
1. Könntest du es loslassen?
2. Würdest du es loslassen?
3. Wann?
dont know if its the best translation because ´´let go´´ and ´´loslassen´´ dont quite feel the same.at least for me

when im releasing im using ´´let go´´ because it feels less personal then using the german words.
off topic: i really like to use the sentence that eckhart tolle said: could/can you give it some space?
