The last couple of days, I´ve been getting commercial mail from Sam Beatson. Didn´t even know I was still a member of goingfree.org.

I was surprised to "hear" from dear Sam, I wasn´t exactly best buddies with his preferred master (I will refrain from mentioning his name in this forum, lol).

Now I get mail from someone who wants to sell me stuff. Which - I think - means that Sam is selling of names and mailadresses from his forum. Or...giving them away.

NOT exactly to ethical in my book.

Anyone else getting these mails?

Cheers...iFrank

Yes, subliminal videos :)
Yes me too!!!

Yesterday, which was most strange `as I thought I had deleted all my private mail. Subliminals too that go right against de-programming. I cannot help but wonder if 'He who should not be named' is aware of this? Hmmmmm the plot thickens!
Me too but I deleted the mail without opening it.
Yeah I got 2 of them actually...read what Sam says in the 2nd e-mail I got:

"Recently, I introduced a subliminal video product to you - *product url* Why? Because I have personally found it challenging to focus on what you want and create the state of desiring that (aka paraphrase of step 1 of the method).

I have found these videos can create "compound releasing gains" when combined with releasing and provide a useful audio-visual tool which could also be of benefit to your achieving your goals"

So, how can subliminal messaging - which programs the mind - be "combined with releasing"? That's like saying "You can help delete viruses in your computer...by installing new ones".

And he clearly got Step 1 totally wrong. "You must want freedom more than the world", is how Lester would paraphrase Step 1 to make it clear. This subliminal thing throws Step 1 right out of the window by saying: "You must want the world more than freedom".

[sarcarm] If you find it hard to focus then adding some more programs to your mind will make you clearer. For sure. [/sarcasm]

I find it hard to believe that a releaser actually supports this subliminal stuff. Unbelievable. Sad that Sam has to go and sell his stuff to releasers this way. I bet Steve knows nothing about it.

You can opt out of the e-mail by the way - there's an opt-out link at the bottom, right where it says "If you would like to be removed from the news, click here...".
Yep have opted out many many times, but someone I get 'opted' back in hmmmmm.....

Sam if you are reading this, why not come and tell us in depth what it is all about that you have to sell? We are curious....
I got them. I don't mind occasionally but unsubscribed (again) when the second message said he would limit messages to two a week. In this age of span I feel that it far too many for a good email marketing campaign.

He is probably not aware that in some EU countries the penalties for a spamming conviction are very harsh, including prison, more so than in UK, and it is probably relatively harmless people like him who get caught out in what is, techincally speaking, a criminal offence, whle the serious offenders who fill our inboxes with replica watches and worse get away with it.

I spent some time looking around the wepages linked to Sam's emails, and followed the sitemaps etc. I thought the copy on the first one, maybe by Mr. Berry (who seems to sell a copywriting course) was rather good. But it is funny how those old tables-based web pages with big yellow ticks and check boxes of benefits give a marketing campaign a dated and unconvincing feel. If you go to 'view source' you see quite a bit of faulty code too. There must be some porgramme which churns out such pages. Microsoft Front Page c.1997 maybe? Marketers really should get into a decent CMS package like Drupal, in this day and age.

I cannot feel angry, and wish him the best of luck: he is just trying to feed himself and his family like the rest of us. But neither can I imagine myself stumping up cash for a subliminal messaging video. This technology has been around in audio form for a long time, and the evidence it works remains more anecdotal than scientific, as far as I know, and as far as one can discern from these websites. But maybe the same goes for releasing....
Scientific has no meaning to me anyway, since the scientists keep on changing their theories and studies whenever they discover something new.

Beingness never changes. What you are just is...right here and now. Scientific or not, it has to be experienced by you in order to realize what you are.

All I was saying is that it seems very odd for someone who has the awareness of what role the mind plays...would still go out and promote these products for a livelyhood. Not just to anyone, but to releasers...who know very well that their minds had been programmed enough already and that releasing is a way of de-programming the mind.

Therefore, using them in conjunction would be fruitless - as you would be adding more programs so you could release them again later? Now if that ain't insane then I don't know what is.

These subliminal programs create attachments, and thus you get to face the opposite polarity at a certain point - since that is all part of the duality game these mind techs are using.

Releasing drops the duality from your goals so you are unattached to your goals and create freedom in your life at the same time. It moves you beyond the duality spin of attachments and aversions.

Moving beyond duality is smart - creating dualities isn't. Unless you like to suffer, of course.
I sometimes use mindmovies to release my attachments to certain things. Sometimes when I'm releasing, my attachments don't come up until I use some sort of visualization or mindmovie and sure enough they magically appear! As for subliminal programs, I have to say I have never used them. I have heard a lot about them though and as all of you mentioned I don't think they are helpful for releasers since they are meant to reprogram your subconscious and you don't have time to release what comes up when they appear on your screen in such a short time.
Hey John what is the 'Age of Span' is that marketable? Sorriieeeee just my swedish humour again :)

I often think of Hales explanation about the 'barrel of apples' where, if we put another layer of good stuff in, without taking out the bad apple at the core (pardon that pun too) ie releasing it first, then you know what will happen the whole barrel will go rotten.....or at the very least not improve. Subliminals do tend to encourage patterning out.....this is why with processes such as Holosync, Hale advises it is best to have them without subliminal affirmations etc
I don´t mind (=not angry:) Sam mailing me, though I am wondering about getting spammails from someone I´ve never been in contact with (the subliminalguy). Not that I mind programming my mind, it´s fun:)

I´m kinda biased re. subliminals having any effect, on one hand Derren Brown has shown how he had some ad-guys delivering exactly what he subliminally programmed them to do.

On the other hand Richard Bandler devised a funny test: he had subliminal-tapes made with thousands of negative suggestions like, "you´ll feel awfull, have a terrible week, be extremely nervous etc.". He handed these to clients at a stressclinic, looking them convincingly in the eye and said:" These tapes is full of beneficial and powerfull suggestions, listen to them daily, and find your life starting to explode with new possibilities."

Now, this is 2 sets of opposing suggestions: negative subliminals and positive person-2-person. The positive person-2-person won out, big time. I love this kind of testing:)

I agree with Tom. I didn't mention I agreed before because his comments struck me as obviously right.

On Frank's point, this is pretty close to being, let's say rather than scientific, evidence based. Not just on the basis of this one test, it fits in with the whole field of placebo medicine where measurable physical as well as perceptual changes can be triggered by suggestion, even by factors like the colour of pills a doctor administers. On this basis I can readily believe that the videos by Sam's associate could be very effective.
Sam is getting caught up in what we all do at some time or another. He is having trouble with step 1, because he wants the things of the world more than he wants to be free. If you seek the freedom, you get it all.

I've been recently releasing just on random AGFLAP that pops in my head through out the day, and I have been getting gains as a side benefit. I haven't been releasing on them, they have just been manifesting. What I really want though is the nagging self defeating thoughts to leave, and stop driving me nuts. ;-)
