..... SMaRT WORLDWIDE - 6 AM SYDNEY AUSTRALIA - 5 PM RIO BRAZIL - 11 PM ISTANBUL

Hello Everyone,

I was just listening to one of the audio recordings of the Hootless calls.  More specifically, the one Tom lead on 3/28/2010 and was wondering what other people's experiences have been like with the vortex.  I believe at some point in the audio Tom had made reference to Hale talking about how to support the vortex in spinning and I was wondering if anybody knew which CD collection Hale shows people how to do that.  Does anyone know?

For myself, I've had experiences where I feel like I am the vortex itself--so most of the spinning I experience shows up as body sensations vs. actually being able to "look down and see the bvortex spinning away from in the distance."  I will feel like I am the spin, or maybe better said that the spin is wrapped all around my body and even a bit past the boundary of my physical body.  Usually the vortex widens and expands so far out that that is how it seems to disolve.  Does that make sense?  I guess I'm "wanting" to see the vortex and all the pictures spinning in it, but for me usually images or pictures are not what pop for me the most with releasing.  It's almost like pictures get transcribed into body sensations.  (I hope that doesn't sound totally off the wall.)

Anyway, do I need to see the vortex "down there in the distance" slipping away from me like a tornado in the distance?  I did actually ONCE see the vortex spinning (with my eyes closed in the blank space behind my lids) away from me, but this has only happened once.  And it just looked like swirling energy spinning out and returning me back to the normal "blackness" once would see behind closed eyes.

Just curious about other people's experiences.  And of course any feedback or support would be lovely as well!

Thanks for listening,

Diana

Do they still sell the Icap, Mario?

I was looking for one in Granlibakken (just to get an experience with it and test it out for myself) but there was none to be found. A releaser I asked about the Icap said that the guy who sold them had either stopped releasing or stopped going to Larry's retreats. If that's true or false I don't know...it was just weird that there was no Icap machine available.

Do you still use the Icap a lot? And in which specific ways did that student of Lester show you how to use it?

I know Yvonne has one and I can borrow her Icap to test it out, so I will do that.
I'm thinking of getting one since it could be handy with releasing on goals for me.
Tom, i think only place you can still get Icap is this site http://www.icaptech.com/ .
I bought it from there last summer, but havent used it much because when i changed to windows 7 and it didnt work anymore. Now they seems to have updated the software to work in win7. Last summer that site and Releasingtechnique were only sites where you could get it online. RT had only one Icap left last summer. When i sended email to RT, they said that someone else has patent to Icap so they cant sell it anymore(or something like that).

I might be able to sell my Icap, if you are intrested. Icap tech prize is $1,295.00 + $250-300 delivery :O(cant remember correct number), so i could sell mine much cheaper prize.
I think I actually feel the vortex(es) in me so clearly that I almost see them. Also sometimes while they are going on I've released on my need to control them when I feel myself wanting them to go faster because most times I experience a slow deep but strong spins - which helps it last longer. What a tremdously powerful technique the Vortex is. I say once you find it going - just let it do what it does until the job's done. Hope that helps Diana.
Thanks Paige,

sometimes mine go so fast I'm SURE it would be a good idea for me to release on "wanting them to slow down!" hahaha. But that's because I feel like I am in the eye of the vortex and the fear is that I'm gonna get get tumbled by it.

Just add the "wanting them to slow down!" to the vortex. Add anything that shows up to it.
Mario,
It never even dawned on me that I could put aything else into the vortex after it was already spinning...isn't that funny? It's funny the things/rules I make up for myself that aren't even true. That's why i really love the clarity I get from all of you! xoxoxo

Well Diana, in the Vortex process Hale says to notice that the Vortex spins all by itself. This means that you disassociate from the Vortex instead of staying in the eye of it....and look at the vortex spinning from a distance...or feel it spinning from a distance...or hear it spinning at a distance.

Allow yourself to get out of the center and allow the vortex to spin and unravel all by itself :)
Tom,

For me, that's much easier said than done. I'm still working on trying to make that happen. Most of the "spinning" for me consists of body sensations. When I allow sounds, sensations, and images to arise most of what appears are sensations in the body. So it's hard for me to figure out how to make them appear as if on a screen in front of me. does that makes sense?

What I have found is that as I allow the vortex to spin, it usually starts out with all these sensaations spinning tightly within my body and then the vortex spreads and opens more and more and more until I am no long feeling the spinning sensations within my body but rather they spin out towards the outskirts of my body boundary and then I feel the vortex spinning around me--until the vortex expands even more and more until it disapears.

So, how do allow body sensations to spin in front of you? I can't quite wrap my mind around that idea.
