Ok we are all familiar with how powerful keeping a 'gains' list or even a 'gains jar' is. As is taking a look at what we are grateful for each day!
These are the things that can lighten us up within our own feelings at lightening speed and change our unconscious points of view from negative to positive over time, where the oh so helpful mind then looks for the good and loses focus on the bad. A win win!
So - what about journalling each day the little things that we did to serve and gift another person for no particular reason? You know those things we do for another sentient being (can be animals too) without any thought of 'What is in it for me?' Without any 'expectation', without any 'payment', or force or feelings 'that we have to'. In other words those things that we do from the heart and out of love for all life around us without any push.
It works like magic when we start, and, the positivity that shows up can be startling!
It can be something as simple as opening a door for someone. Letting someone out first in a queue or at a traffic stop. Catching up with a friend we haven't called for some time, letting go of some of our 'stuff' and giving it away to someone less fortunate than we are, passing on some clutter to a thrift shop perhaps instead of throwing it away! In other words GIVE!
Leaving a book on a park seat or a train for someone else to pick up for free and enjoy once you have done with it, with a note inside to say, when you are done with this 'Please do the same and pass it on'....the ideas are limitless on this.
Making something nice to eat and giving it to a neighbour or friend....
It all adds up.
Or, for all you experienced coaches and releasers out there, what about helping someone from the 24/7 chat area that needs some assistance, for free without expecting a session or payment in return? Even as little as 15 minutes of assistance can really help someone else.
And if you really want to step it up.
What about volunteering at an animal shelter?, take a dog for a walk that is caged most of the time, or just sit and talk to the animals a while. Often the staff are so busy that they don't have time to simply 'be' with the creatures.
Or, going to a care home and asking the staff if there is anyone that has not had a visitor in a long time, and might like to have a chat and a cup of tea. Pick some flowers from your garden or pot up a nice plant and take it in with you.
It doesn't have to cost more than a little time with the right intention to pass on your energy, gift and assist something or someone that is in a situation that they perhaps do not wish to be, be it stuck in traffic all the way to being in a cage at a shelter....
Start with tiny things, but be sure to write them down and just see where it takes you. To give really is to receive, but be sure to do it from the heart and out of love with zero expectation even of resulting abundance. Do the little things because you enjoy them and notice what you notice.
