ANNOUNCEMENTS AND SITE UPDATE INFORMATION FOR YOUR USE.

YOU WILL FIND UPDATES OF SITE CHANGES HERE OVER TIME. THE LATEST ADJUSTMENTS WILL APPEAR AT THE TOP.

SITE CHANGES JANUARY 2012

1. NEW ON SITE JAVA CHAT APPLICATION

• Easy to find: You'll find the new chat in your browser window's footer. Click on it and start chatting (click again to close it).
• More responsive: It should snap to attention fast!

• Better technology: It's not Flash-based, so it will even work on some mobile devices.
• New sounds and notifications: You can turn those off if you want. You'll also see a visual notification when new messages are posted.
• Ignore people: Choose who you want to chat with — or click the "Ignore" button. It's up to you.

• Pop it out: Need more space to chat? Pop it out into its own window. You can do this by hitting the CHAT TAB in the Home Page Menu or by using the Instant Button on the right of the page in the SMaRT AREAS column.

• It can host up to 500 people simultaneously so, take it for checking, jump in and chat.

• Feel free to join the main CHAT ROOM or click on a contacts name and open a private room of your own.

2. COUNTDOWN TIMERS FOR SMaRT CALLS

• All Hootless scheduled calls will have a countdown timer in the center of the home page. They will tell you who is facilitating and what time there is left to the call start wherever you are in the world. This makes for ease of use and non missing of scheduled calls. You can then check the corresponding events page for all call details. If there is no clock displayed then there is no call pending.

SITE CHANGES 2011

1. There is now a direct link/button "Call Me" so you can call into Freeconferencecallhd from the main page. You will then have the pin code in front of you in big red letters so this should make it easier for everyone to connect. When you click on the button a little Skype connection box will appear. Check to see if it is behind your other screens if at first you do not see it.

2. Next box down. For those already in the 24/7 live Skype chat, there is another button that will take you straight there and load Skype for you. Lots of new things to play with :)

3. Photos: There is now "Photo Album" Option for everyone, with a drag and drop feature for ease of use. For example we have one now to collect shots of Lester etc

4. Up-coming calls and call replay link will be on the 'Welcome to Hootless' page in the central eyeline view. So you can see who is leading and get last weeks archived call with ease too.

5. We have made the tabs section more explanatory to help you navigate easily. The SMaRT CALL DIARY/ARCHIVE will take you right through to the complete call schedule for Sunday calls only. The diary changed to a full click through link when the call has been archived. You can see at a glance who facilitated, when the call was and any websites relevant for more info....

Also a new GAINS Tab top right first row.....click straight through :)

6. Featured events of our choice will be listed in date order on the right hand side of the welcome page. They include registration links and sites where applicable. Also videos about the coach/facilitator. This area will mostly be big live events with SMaRT coaches as requested by them and space allowing in that area.

nice pages - I've been away for a bit and think I missed a change - no more saturday calls, correct?

Hi Kathy...no that is not correct. There will still be Saturday Calls according to coaching interest. It will now work like this. If there is an event (See events tab) and a Countdown timer for it (on home page) that means there will be a call. The Saturday 'Dance of Intimacy Calls' will run but will not be guaranteed each and every week. It will depend on how busy they are etc.

It will mean it is up to everyone to check the home page or their hootless mail for updates. If there is a call scheduled an invitation will always be sent preceeding the call so that everyone knows there is a call pending and can then click through to RSVP as attending.

For now the golden rule is: ALL CALLS PENDING ARE ON THE HOME PAGE AND IN THE EVENTS SECTION. IF IT IS NOT IN THERE IT IS NOT RUNNING!
