As most here know, relatively recently, Hale Dwoskin has been frequently applying what he calls the "5th Way" which seems to be a derivation of a technique found in several disciplines (Advaita, Zen, 'Self Inquiry') which involves looking into your present experience to search for the "I".

 

There is alot of good word of mouth about this technique on this and other release forums that I've visited.

 

The technique as Hale describes it has never resonated with me and has rarely assisted with the process of releasing in my personal experience. "I" look into my present experience to find the I. There is nothing there and... so what?

 

I think it would be potentially very helpful if members who have had success with this technique could share their experience with it.

No never did that before.
Yeah if anyone has done that it will be Fab......great idea I never did one on him either - that's my agenda for tonight LOL

Did Fab try to threaten or opose you? - yeah often
Did Fab try to control you? - Always
Did Fab disapprove of something in you? Mostly ...

And so on :) :) :)
The same here. The 5th way has never resonated with me. I feel no release whatsoever when I ask myself" Where is the I who does this or that" Strangely enough Eckhart Tolle's books have literrally changed me along with the Sedona Method, the subjective reality, the RT and MC2
The 5th way and The Work didn't help at all, but each of us is different. That's why, thank God, there are so many methods out there for each "type of ego".
Hi Lilar....did you find that with triple welcoming format Lilar? I found that the most effective way to go straight to the void/peace in a few seconds....its like releasing the releasing - at least it is for me :)

Triple welcoming has worked for me too. I agree with you. When we ask the questions we generally expect a relief right away. If this doesn't work, we're disappointed and we blame releasing. That doesn't usually happen when we do the welcoming or just being present with whatever sensation or emotion we're feeling. Today I did the MC2 as releasing couldn't give me the relief I needed. I just sat with the emotion, observing it, not judging it. I suddenly no longer wanted to change it. I fully accepted it and it transmuted to a deep sense of peace and lightness. No expectations there, just plain observation.
