Hi team,

Have recently begun to take this seriously and so I'm pretty close to actually getting to completion on a fear. I get to the stage where I'm open and the phenomenon is passing through on it's own at a pretty solid pace but it seems to go on forever.

a] Can you get to completion/imperturbability on a particular topic/fear/goal? or..

b] Do you just move organically onto the Master Program underneath it and that's what's being released?

Also, the point I'm at is that I want freedom from the fear more than I want Approval, Control or Security. But perhaps not as I'd be free of it?

Cheers

Daniel

Hi Daniel,

A few pointers to lead you to better clarity:

1. Each time you release you get lighter and happier (step #6). So each time you do this, it feels better than before. So does it matter if feels like it takes forever? Is your mind trying to use a subtle excuse to make you stop at any point, just because it takes too long?

2. You are the boss. You are the one who is responsible for your feelings, and you put it in there in the past (programmed yourself). So if you could put it in, you can also take it out. It might require effort, but you still did it, so you can reverse it.

3. If you're concerned about taking it to completion, you can set a goal for the completed state - see how it would look like, feel like, etc. to be completed on that. Go for what you want, not for what you don't want - maybe it's an action that you were afraid to take, maybe it means having a certain goal - you know better.

And release on that goal until you have it. Then you know clearly what completion is for you, and that you achieved it.

Also, I just want to point out that I had some issues that took me several months to release. As long as you decide to release it and be done with it, it doesn't matter - you just do it with whatever it takes.

Yes, you can get to completion on a fear on a particular topic.

I would look at the underlying wants of the fear and drop those to make it a bit faster than the
tube/door/window method.

Is this fear coming from wanting approval, control or security? and then just allow yourself to let the want go. This requires just a couple of seconds (or less) per want - just decide to let it go. "When could I let this want go?" is a fast way of doing it. Keep checking if there is anything left and drop the wants until there is nothing left :)

Dropping the wants is like pulling out a tree by pulling out the roots, so the rest of the fear falls away when all the roots have been taken out.

This tends to be a bit faster than just watching the energy leave. Take it for checking and let us know how it goes :)

Thanks Omer and Tom very much, especially in terms of your pace! :)

I'll give it a go and see how far down the rabbit hole it leads me..

Cheers

Hi guys :)

I've taken your advice on board and have refined my process. Now things are working great. I have now stopped releasing the fear, instead setting a goal to the exact opposite of the fear and releasing the three master programs keeping me from being free from the havingness of that goal. Because the goals are simply there to bring up AGFLAP so we can release it and be free. At the same time I am doing attachments/aversions [aka advantages/disadvantages] as a sub-conscious cleanup in order to obtain freedom of that goal quicker.

I have released AGFLAP on one dot point on my attachments list for two days. It felt pretty free [though not completed] but it was dragging on so I worked on other dot points for a day or so to give it a rest. Nope! You should have seen the phenomenon flow! It was about pitying those who lack money. The program is about feeling guilt when I have abundance, so much so that I would rather have total lack so others can have abundance. Essentially wanting to control the equality of everyone [if I have an abundance of money then it's only fair they should have too, and if not then I should give mine until it's equal and balanced. This reeks of self-sabotage]. At the core it's really about the unfairness of me having abundance. Examples include: having this wonderful releasing tool, my wonderful IQ to be able to apply it, my awareness of my suffering in order to stay motivated, money, happiness, smiling..

So.. Does this thing go on forever? I laugh at it's depth, though freedom is still my definitive choice.

Some guidance here would be appreciated. Perhaps it's the only really big tree in this forest and felling it will take time, but once it goes it will take other trees with it. Or the other tress will be easier to cut down.

Cheers guys

Daniel :)

PS. When I'm doing the clean up on money I imagine limitless wealth.

It goes as long as you're holding on to limitations around the topic.

You can look at it the other way - are you going to hold on to those limitations forever? What would it take for you to decide to be completely done with it?

Thanks Omer. That's exactly what I needed to hear.

@ Omer

"are you going to hold on to those limitations forever? What would it take for you to decide to be completely done with it?"

That was now a good one !

So.. Does this thing go on forever? I laugh at it's depth, though freedom is still my definitive choice.

What you have described is not a "thing" but a concept you hold, with judgements and limitations - your mind can in fact continue to generate ideas and concepts around this forever. It is that powerful, but you are even more powerful.

Just be aware of the fact that by viewing this as a "thing" that you are the mercy of, as something that exists outside that you just need to push through until you defeat it, you are assigning it power. The irony is that you are the power that is deciding this.

Release completely and let it do it's thing. Remember that releasing does not mean you keep checking that the feeling or thought is "gone" - because you will recreate it when you check to see if it is gone in many cases. It means you have let go of your attachments and aversions to it and realize it has no real power over you. I love that phrase "imperturbable" and note that the word does not suggest that the whole world and energy of the universe changes or goes away, it means it does not perturb you. The energy will do what it needs to do when you let go. Be done with it and be done with the drama of "working on it."

Evan you hit the nail on the head mate. Your words really spoke to me and provided me with the correct thinking to deal with this. Thank you. Exactly what I needed. I will apply it as soon as I become unstuck. It's been a few days now. Any thoughts there? I applied your thinking to the stuckness, as well as Tom Verbroekken's questions from:

http://hootless.com/forum/topics/burnout-plateau-what-is-going?comm...

..but I am still partially stuck. I've only been stuck twice in the past. Once I quit releasing [and of course I became unstuck] and the other my releasing friend helped me through. This time I am attempting to make it through on my own, using only the method[s].

I have tried everything I know [I just can't pretend to quit and walk away, my ego knows this trick well :) ] and the only thing that got me a bit looser was getting realistic using your info from this thread and Hale's Could I, Would I, When? in a few variations.

Daniel

There is the method step "let go of wanting to change the stuckness" but I'm sure that has already been brought up in this context.

For me this is more about the allowing than the letting go part (in many ways they are the same but the words can suggest really different things especially at the beginning)

It sounds like the desire is based on finding the technique to 'wipe out' the stuckness, which is somewhat similar to the core issue in the original question.

"Letting go" as a verb meaning "to get rid of" - which can be a trap which from my perspective defines the stuckness you are describing. This can also perpetually regenerate itself in the same way -- i did xyz, is it gone?

I would focus on the allowing part of it, sitting with the feeling of stuckness itself WITHOUT the intent of releasing on it, or eliminating it. Allowing is where it is at in many ways, and by it's very nature does not suggest finding a process to get rid of it.

Hey Evan

Once again, brilliant. Thanks mate, very much, and I hope to be able to return the gesture one day.

It's interesting to note that whilst in the middle of stuckness it can seem pretty hopeless in that you feel like you're not making any forward progress because you're not releasing. I've found the opposite is the case. You're actually - either in the world within or in the world without - letting go a lot of wanting to control. So it, like all challenges, is actually an opportunity.

Cheers
