Can Releasing Replace Psychotherapy (in the case of clients who are not ill)?

Can Releasing Replace Psychotherapy?

I am not talking about psychotherapy for mental illness, neither do I want to open up the controversial subject of the trend among some medical professionals to cast the net of diagnosable illness ever wider. I am talking about the kinds of therapy which might be undergone by people who are troubled by some issue or other, but who medically speaking are in robust mental and general health. For healthy people, does releasing handle alll their problems, or are there areas where some form of psychotherapy is a better solution, or the only practical solution?

Releasing is no substitute for anything.

If someone has a schizophrenic attack, then I highly suggest they get some help from someone who can help them with that - whether that is a psychotherapist or a highly skilled NLP practitioner or whatever.

It's still a good idea to see your health care practitioner if you have serious issues. And releasing can help in addition to whatever you are doing about your health. It's an "AND-AND" situation, instead of an exclusive option or an "OR-OR" situation.

I would say it's safe for most people who are "medically speaking in robust mental and general health" to use the method to improve their life via releasing. And even those people can visit a doctor if necessary.

If you are involved in an accident, do you only release on it or do you visit the doctor(and/or hospital) and release on it? I would suggest the latter. Be smart. If you start resisting going to the doctor/hospital, then you're making things worse.

There are other ways of letting things go and getting insights than just TSM and RT as well. And there are alternatives to psychotherapy as well, as you may know John. You can open your mind to more possibilities - what else is possible?

Whenever I see someone saying "this is the ONLY (practical) solution", I go "bullsh*t". You are hypnotizing yourself into limitation with such statements. Is it really the only solution, or do other solutions exist also? There's more out there than you might be aware of :)

I haven't encountered yet a mental issue that can't be released. If it's mental, it means that IT'S IN YOUR MIND, so you can be free of it by releasing it.

But don't take anyone's word, prove it to yourself.
